Executive Director

Janet Chaney

My name is Janet Chaney and I am joining NATA as your new Executive Director.

Did you know that NATA has been an organization since 1912!? What a proud legacy we are all a part of. I look forward to working with all of you. I have had the opportunity to meet our great Board of Directors who steer this big ship, and know that we will have a productive and forward-thinking relationship.

There are many impressive features this organization offers. Our members have the opportunity to participate in the NATA insurance programs, managed by Tere McNaughton, Insurance and Member Outreach. Email Tere to learn more. This is a positive benefit for your business and employees.

NATA is very involved with Oregon’s educational system. We participate on school advisory boards and have been instrumental in helping to organize the “Portolio Review.” This program brings students and potential employers together. Interested employers will set up a table and greet students to review their portfolio. This has been very successful and encourages students to see more of the opportunities available in our industry. NATA’s works to inspire students and assist with job placement.

The NATA monthly newsletter is full of helpful tips for our members and offers educational opportunities! We also have Darrell Fuller, Government Affairs (lobbyist), who is our “legislative watch” in Salem.

My background is the collision industry. I have been secretary of the National Auto Body Council, and involved with other state collision associations. I am co-chairman of the “Governmental Committee” for the Collision Industry Conference (CIC). I attend that national conference three times a year and stay involved with the industry at a national level.

I am very engaged in our industry. I look forward to working with all of you, as we continue to learn and grow. It is so very important to our automotive professionals that we stay actively involved and communicate with each other and continue to be the problem- solvers.

Please don’t hesitate to stay in touch. I look forward to hearing from you!
